Nick Begley

The visionary behind illume. Nick brings a profound understanding of neuroscience and mindfulness to our community. With a research background at UCL and the Institute of Psychiatry, Nick has deeply explored the neuroscience of mindfulness.

Driven by a passion for mindfulness, Nick became a trainer and Head of Research at Headspace. Nick’s expertise guarantees that our community receives top-tier guidance and support on their mindfulness journey.

Ceri Seal

Ceri Seel

With over 30 years of studying and practicing meditation and mind training in the Buddhist tradition, Ceri brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our daily check-ins.

Driven by a desire to understand the scientific benefits of meditation, he earned a postgraduate diploma in mindfulness-based interventions. Ceri has delivered mindfulness courses for the NHS and co-founded a charity promoting mindfulness and compassion in schools, endorsed by the Dalai Lama. His extensive background ensures our community receives unparalleled insight and support.

We currently run the sessions, Monday to Friday 8am UK time.

How long are the sessions?

30 minutes

How can I join the sessions?

Simply sign up above and you’ll receive a personalised Zoom link to join the sessions. You can always come back here and sign up again. We also recommend adding these sessions to your calendar – the link is available once you sign up.

Can I join if I come late?

Of course, these sessions are here to support you each day, but we know that life happens. Join whenever you can. 

What do I need for the sessions?

Come as you are. Simply showing up is enough.

  • No need to have your camera on
  • No need talk to anyone
  • No need to even get out of bed!

What is the format of the sessions?

Our sessions follow a structured format to ensure a balanced and effective start to your day.

Each session includes:

  • Wisdom from positive psychology that you can apply to your life.
  • Journaling to help you process what’s going on and turn your mind towards the positive
  • Meditation to help you develop a calm, clear and joyful mind.

Do I need to have previous experience with meditation to participate?

No prior experience with meditation is required. Our sessions are designed to be accessible for everyone, from beginners to those with more experience. Our guides provide clear instructions and support to help you get the most out of each session, regardless of your experience level.

Do you record these sessions?

We record the sessions for internal purposes; however, if you miss a session, don’t worry. We post the highlights and wisdom on our community page so you can still benefit from the daily content.

Do you offer the sessions at another time?

Currently, we are only running the sessions at 8 AM UK time. However, we are listening to the community and will explore other times as we grow.
